My Awesome Movie is a anti narrative. It's a story that wants to get told but just doesn't know how. Like life, lots of things happen in a day and most fall by the way-side. This movie glorifies those moments but still shows them for what they are: unimportant. The story revolves around Aaron and Zak, two twenty-something year old roommates. They have a friendship and closeness that is hard to classify, it is special and unique. It's bond few have and few want. The two of them are after what most men in the world want, sex and money. The only probably is that they haven't a clue how to find it. Between constant rejections from the other sex and money making schemes that have no way of actually paying out, they aren't sure what to do. So they do what most people in that situation do, turn on themselves. All they can do is move forward in hopes of finding something they don't have. My Awesome Movie is a film that defies even low-budget film making and shows the world that making a good movie is within anyone who wants reach. Shot on HD cameras in Toronto, Ontario, for less then $40 Canadian.
